Heidi's teaching is so much more than the physical practice of yoga. Her devotion to yoga as a way of life brings deeper understanding to each asana, and to the flow of movements. I always end class wishing it would go on and on, and taking with me a flame ignited from within.
Her classes are as challenging as you want them to be, with much encouragement given for expanding from where you are, at your own pace. Being in Heidi's classes (one a week is not enough!) brings light and love to the rest of my week.

What makes Heidi an inspirational yoga teacher is more than just her wonderful ability to teach yoga creatively and effectively. Her kind, genuine, exuberant spirit infuses her classes and leaves me feeling open and peaceful both in body and mind. I came to Heidi as an insecure beginner and she not only was able to communicate technique expertly but she created a happy and encouraging environment where I felt inspired to explore, challenge, and discover.

Heidi has come through some stunning life experiences that imbue her teaching and that's what makes her classes unique. She has a great command of language as she seems to know what I need adjusting on when I think she is not watching me or next to me.

Heidi's classes provoke balance in the two most important ways that define yoga - the union of soulfulness and physical amplitude. Especially lately, Heidi seems to have come into her own. As if her soul is now really integrated in her work. So now, the corrections don't feel just physical, they feel - well, soulful. It's something your body catches but an intellect can't. And because she is cooking with soul in there, it feels like soul and smells like soul and tastes like soul when I'm all cooked at the end of class. Sure, I receive the benefits and the 'spirit' of the teacher training programs that Heidi completed. But I leave the room different than when I entered it. And sometimes - when I'm done, I can touch my toes.
